Right to return and notice to return:
For an unused product there is 14 days’ notice to return, against presentation of guarantee certificate/product invoice. The product must be returned in original packaging with all included parts.
The seller’s employees evaluate the saleability of returned goods. The seller reserves the right to reject return of goods or to offer limited repayment should the above specified conditions be unfulfilled.
Repayment or credit slip for return of product only covers the price of the product itself. Other costs such as for shipping to and from the purchaser are the responsibility of the purchaser.
Guarantee terms and conditions:
An invoice and/or guarantee certificate must be presented when bringing broken/defective products for repair.
Defects shall be notified immediately on discovery. Where a product has been treated by a party not working for the seller, the guarantee is void.
A two-year guarantee from the date of purchase applies to all products registered on an invoice/guarantee certificate with the limitations specified here below.
The guarantee does not give the right to demand a new product to replace the defective product.
The two-year guarantee does not apply to batteries and straps which naturally have a shorter life.
The guarantee only covers factory faults which can be proven to have come to light in the product during the duration of the guarantee. The guarantee does not constitute the right for a purchaser to repayment of repair costs resulting from incorrect usage or mistreatment, damp or shock damage, negligent maintenance, misfortune or accident, natural catastrophes etc.
The seller only bears responsibility for the purchaser’s direct damage which manifestly is a direct consequence of a defect in the product.
The seller’s liability for damage does not cover indirect damage.
Should the product be sent to a workshop, the purchaser shall use good packaging. The purchaser shall also ensure the product against damage in transport if possible. The purchaser is responsible for the product from the time that it is sent until the seller has received the product, including damage, loss of the product or its destruction.
The Seller’s workshop located at Laugavegur 15 provides repair services and handles guarantees for all products sold on michelsen.is unless otherwise specified.
The workshop is open on weekdays from 10:00-18:00 and on Saturdays from 10:00-17:00.

The seller accepts those credit cards serviced by the Borgun payment site at any given time.
It is also possible to pay with net giro, bank transfer to the seller’s account or when the goods are collected (if appropriate).

The seller offers domestic delivery by Iceland Post to the purchaser’s post office against a fixed ISK 1090 fee.
It is also possible to collect orders from the seller at Laugavegur 15.
Delivery by Íslandspóstur takes 3-5 days. Iceland Post takes 3-5 days. For products ordered before 14:00 hours the delivery time for products being collected is after 12:00 the following day. Aforesaid timing are valid for weekdays only.
International shipments are either shipped via Iceland Post or UPS.
Incorrect decription/price/sold out products:
Occasionally there may be information on our site that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers, product shipping charges, transit times and availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information on any related website is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order).
Where a product is sold out the seller can offer another analogous product instead of the product that is sold out or can offer a refund to the purchaser.
